On
July 20, 21 and 22 all of the
partners and several members of
the professional staff attended
seminars regarding college financial
aid. The presenter was Rick Darvis
of College Funding Incorporated.
Highlights of the course included:
financial aid basics, appealing
a financial aid award, education
tax incentives and an analysis
of working with affluent clients
to lower the cost of a college
education.

On
July 27, 2004 the firm celebrated
30 years of service with a "Client
Appreciation Luau". The event
was held from 5-8 P.M. at the
KC Hall in Algona. Over 500 people
were served a meal of grilled
hamburgers, fresh fruit, potato
chips, bars and punch. Thanks
to the Kossuth County Cattlemen
for a great job on the grilling
of the hamburgers. The KC Hall
was decorated in a luau setting
complete with palm trees and a
tiki hut. Each guest received
a lei at the door and also a commemorative
travel mug on their way out. In
addition, a door prize drawing
was held and the winners were
as follows: Linda Feaster, Bernie
Kramer, Al Cordes, Duane Johanneson,
Florence Koestler, Sue Thomas,
Eleanor Kohlhaas, Dick Kuecker,
Jan Sowers, Bob Snyder, Jim Elbert,

Nancy Inman, Polly McNeill, Diane

Each winner received a cooler
with the firm's name stitched
into the side. Thank you to all
